Samuel H. Korin

Samuel H. Korin was born in 1884 in the Galacia area of Austria. According to his obituary, he emigrated to the United States at the age of 15, and first lived in Camden, NJ.

Samuel worked at the La Palina Cigar Factory, eventually becoming assistant superintendent. The La Palina factory closed in 1926, so Samuel started his own business, selling LaKorin cigars.

Samuel was a member of the Greek Catholic Church of Allentown, where he is buried.

Samuel was an avid violin player, and played at picnics as well as church services.
