About Tekla Korin
Tekla "Tillie" Pidlypchak Korin was born on September 27, 1888 to Adam and Eva Pedorczyk Pidlypchak somewhere in the region of the Ukraine.
She arrived in the United States in 1901, where she married Samuel H. Korin. They had seven children together, one of whom, Anna, passed away at the age of five. (Even though the story told to me is that Tekla arrived the day McKinley was killed (9/1/1901), records indicate she may have arrived on the the SS Koln on 6/23/1901.)
She was a member of St. Joseph's Ukrainian Catholic Church.
At the time of her death, she was living at 54 E. Ettwin St. with her daughter, Mary Damsel and Mary's husband, Steve.
According to this thread, she may be the member of a larger of family from the village of Smerekowiec in the Galician region of what is now Poland
Is this her marriage license (if so, why is her husband named Leni?): https://familysearch.org/ark:/61903/1:1:2498-RQG
