Dear Evelyn: Thanks for the quick reply and for clarifying our relationship. Isaac Meilijson is my son-in-law's cousin. He is the one who pointed out to me that my mother appeared on your tree as well as on mine (which is just rudimentary and which was started by my daughter, Tami). Yes, my mother, Leah, and your uncle Louis were sister and brother. My mother was born in 1917, about a generation later than uncle Louis. Our families didn't interact much when we were growing up. Victor and I do talk to each other fairly often though. Although I know a lot about aunt Edith's ancestry back 5 or 6 generations or more, curiously enough I don't know anything about her siblings. I didn't even know that she had a brother (your father). I am sorry that our families were not close enough to get to know each other. Anyway, whether you merge our families or not on GENI, just a little correction -- Uncle Louis' father's name was Heinich (no "r"). Heinich is the Yiddish version of Henoch. My grandfather's full name was Yoinisen Heinich (Jonathan Henoch). In business life he was known as Henry. Although Victor can probably fill in the details on the descendants of my grandfather, I'd be glad to help also (not just for my mother's side, but for all of her siblings.. My cousin, Allan Phillips (my aunt Miriam's son) would also be a great help here. In any case, I would love to know more about my Aunt Edith's family; so I'd be thrilled if you gave me persmission to view your own family tree. Sincerely Heshel
