Samuel Pearson, Sr was born on August 23, 1724 in Philadelphia, Philadelphia County, Pennsylvania. His parents were Enoch Pearson and Mary Pearson (Smith).

Samuel married Martha Pearson (Worthington) in 1749 in Virginia, Colonial America. Together they had the following 3 children:

  1. Mary Taylor (Pearson);
  2. Enoch Pearson;
  3. William Pearson.

Samuel married Christian Pearson (Potts) in 1757 in Fairfax Friends Meeting, Fairfax, Fairfax County, Virginia. Together they had one child:

  1. Martha Steddom (Pearson).

Third, Samuel married Mary Pearson (Rogers) in 1762 in Bush River, Newberry, South Carolina, United States. Together they had the following 4 children:

  1. Benjamin Pearson;
  2. Hannah Kelly (Pearson);
  3. Samuel Pearson, Jr;
  4. Eunice Pearson.
