he became a member in full communion lst Cong. Ch Suffield under Rev. Ebenezer Devotion 28 Dec 1718 having transferred by letter of recommendation from lst church, Northampton, MA

Samuel IV (1685-1748) is son of Samuel Kent III and Priscilla Hunter and in 1710 married Esther Phelps, daughter of third wife of Samuel Kent III whose name was also Esther Phelps (widow).
