Samuel was the second born to Capt. Ninian and Elizabeth Steele. He died just short of his eighth birthday. He is buried to the right of his parents along with his brother, Robert. They share a common headstone. Next stone on their right is Uncle Robert. Inscription: "In Memory" "Samuel and Robert Steele-Samuel died April the 22, 1780, the 8th year of his age. Robert died Sept. 12, 1799 in the 16th year of his age."
