About Samuel Bigelow Windsor
Samuel Bigelow Windsor worked with his father, Abraham Windsor, until 1825 when he went to Kiantone to work as a carpenter on a new house being built by William Sears, his future father-in-law. He became acquainted with Sears' wife and then their twelve year old daughter, Anna. Samuel remained in Kiantone the next winter, attending the district school, boarding with the Sears. The following spring he returned to Jamestown, where for several years he worked his trade. In 1830 he converted the Methodist Episcopal Church of Jamestown, remaining a faithful member until his death. On August 25, 1831, he married Anna Sears in Jamestown.
