About Sanford Smith
"Sanford Smith was the son of Charles Smith and his wife who was a Rhodes. He owned a gun factory. He and his brother, William Smith, were the first and only gunsmiths in Spartanburg County."
"Sanford Smith and Mary Morrow were married January 15, 1801. They lived all their married life on the Reedy Fork of the Dutchman Creek in the community of Pauline (Chester District), South Carolina."
