Anna Brubaker

OHIO CITY - Mrs. Anna Brubaker, 87, Ohio City, died 5:30 a.m. Friday in Van Wert Community Hospital. She had been seriously ill the last seven months and hospitalized the last eight days.

Born Dec. 28, 1878, in Harrison Township, she was the daughter of John and Rachel Thomlinson Andrews. She married Delbert M. Brubaker, Oct. 23, 1899, and he died in October, 1960.

Mrs. Brubaker was a member of Ohio City Church of God and its Pearl Rebekah Lodge of Van Wert; a past noble grand of Irish Women's Society, Rebekah Hyler Chapter, Order of Eastern Star, and a charter member of American Legion Auxiliary.

Surviving are three sons, Dwayne of 2122 University Blvd., Lima; Omer M. of Englewood, Fla., and Delbert M. Jr. of Ohio City; three daughters, Mrs. Doyt (Maude) Emerick of Ohio City, Mrs. Amanda Franzer of Dayton, and Mrs. William (Catherine) Raymond, 1723 Bruce Rd., Lima; a half-brother, Frank Tschannon of Oceola; a sister, Mrs. Aaron Young of Lemert; 15 grandchildren and 27 great-grandchildren.

Services will be 1:30 p.m. Monday in the Church of God, with Rev. James M. Moss officiating and burial in Woodlawn Cemetery, Ohio City.

Friends may call at Cowan and Sons Funeral Home, Van Wert, after 3 p.m. today and at the church until an hour before services.
