She married Joseph Asay on July 17th 1841 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Later sealed in the Endowment House.

They had the following children:

1. William Pedrick Asay. (1842-1898) 2. Franklin Asay. (1844-1845) 3. Edwin Asay. (1846-1884) 4. Issac Asay.(1848-1909) 5. Joseph Asay Jr. (1850-1904) 6. Emma "Emmer" Asay. (1851-1901) 7. Sarah died in the Flu Epedemic of 1900 at age of 82. Only one son was able to attend Graveside Services for her. Her grave was identified in 1982 and the plot was deeded to the Asay Family. Soon after a monument was dedicated at the Gravesite in her honor.
