Sarah could not have died by 1754, BECAUSE on the date: 15 Feb 1757 in Surry Co VA, Benjamin and wife Sarah sell 150 acres btwn Blackwater Swamp and Otterdam Swamp to a Walter Keeble JR of Surry Co.

1764: Benjamin and wife Sarah of Lunenberg Co VA sell to James and Betty Thornton of Brunswick Co...300 acres north side of Blackwater Swamp "whereon the said Benjamin Baird formerly lived". Mecklenberg Co formed from Lunenberg Co in 1765, Benj's property fell in the new county.

10 Apr 1765 Sarah Baird, wife of Benj, relinquishes right of dower (Mecklenburg Co, VA) to the property sold to James/Betty Thornton.

Sarah Batte Jones Baird was probably dead by 31 Dec 1768. On this date, Benj disposed of 2 large tracts of land which he had since coming to Lunenberg/Mecklenburg County. Since there was no relinquishment of dower, Sarah his wife was probably dead by this date.
