SARAH (BOBET / BABBITT) PITTS / 1657 - 1719
Daughter of Edward Bobet (Bobbitt / Babbitt) / 1626 - 1675 and Sarah (Tarne) Bobet / 1636 - 1675. Per "Massachusetts Births & Christenings, 1639 - 1915, "Sara Babbitt" was born on March 20, 1657 in Taunton, Plymouth Colony. Father is recorded as Edward "Babbitt".

Sarah Bobet (Edward). Born March 20, 1658. Married (1) March 25, 1680, Samuel Pitts, son of Peter and Mary (Andrews) Hodges Pitts. Born 1655, died about 1696.

She married (2) May 19, 1701, Samuel Blake and outlived him. In 1715 she released her right of dower in his estate.

As is well known, many Taunton town records were destroyed by a fire. No documentation, extant or emergent, is available regarding the deaths of Sarah (Bobet / Bobbet / Babbitt) Pitts / Blake. Neither is there any record of her interment either as Sarah Pitts or Sarah Blake. Thus, the day date of August 28, 1758 at age 100 is, at best, undocumented speculation.
