About Sarah Denton Boydston

http://bradboydston.blogspot.com/p/boydston-clan.html

This genealogy appeared on the Chattanoogan.com website, without attribution, August 2000. A version of it appears in an article on the Hamilton County Tennessee Genealogical Society site and can be found here. It is attributed to John Wilson, 14 February 1993.

Their son, David Boydston, was born in 1710 and married Mahala Snow, then Sarah Pruitt.

A son, James, was born in Maryland in 1738. He married Mary Pruitt, daughter of Samuel and Elizabeth Hawker Pruitt, in 1757.

Researchers studying David ( https://www.genealogy.com/ftm/w/e/a/Christopher-D-Weaver/GENE5-0001... )

"Boydston family researchers have attributed two marriages to David Boydston:

1. Mahala or Mehitable Snow (usually md. about 1736 - 1737) (DAR Patriot Index lists David's wife as Mehitable Snow).

Their children:

#Sabra

  1. Cynthia
  2. Unknown Child
  3. Malinda
  4. George b about 1737
  5. James b. about 1738
  6. David, b about 1740
  7. Nancy b about 1745
  8. Mahulda b. 1747 (Researcher, WFT Vol. 13, #344, added)

2.Sarah Pruitt, daughter of Samuel Pruitt and Elizabeth Hawker (see his son, James Boydston Sr. -- did he marry his own aunt or am I impossibly confused? One cousin points out that James Sr. would NOT in this case have married his own aunt...she would have been his step-aunt! )

Their children:

#William b. 1753

  1. Jesse
  2. Lesina
  3. Priscilla b. about 1761
  4. Catherine b about 1775

In the book written by Mrs Weaver it includes a Benjamin and Thomas as sons of David but that is the only location I have seen them listed. ( https://archive.org/details/boydstunfamilyby00weav/page/36)

Is it likely she had a sister who married her stepson? Another sister married her husband’s uncle?
