Her Father was Barnabas Lamson who embarked from Harwich, England, in the ship "Defence", on August 10, 1635.They settled in Newtowne (now Cambridge), Massachusetts. His wife's name is unknown However, she is mentioned as "my aunt Lamson" in the will of Peter Lidgett, a Boston merchant, in 1670-71.Two of their children had their baptisms recorded in Ridgewell, Essex, England, Barnabas on November 22, 1631 and Martha on January 13, 1633/34. Barnabas died about 1640. It appears that his wife had already died as he left guardianship of all his children (all minors) to fellow church members.
