Tristram Daggett enlisted in Third Battery, First Regiment Artillery, December 11, 1861. December 24, 1863, he reenlisted for the remainder of the war. Mustered out June 17, 1865.

The following spring he pui-chased a farm and settled in Ripley, where the remainder of his life was spent.

Hon. W. L. Daggett is of the firm of Daggett Bros., general merchandise, Strong, Me. He is among the very best Sunday-school workers, and long an office-bearer in the State association.

Mr. Daggett has completed tweuty-five years of unbroken service as superintendent of the Methodist Episcopal Sunday-school of Strong. His enthusiasm and devotion are greatly appreciated in the whole region. Mr. Daggett was one of the representatives of Maine at the World's Sunday-school Convention at London.
