Sarah Daniel (William Daniel1 & unknown Williams) was born ABT 1700, and died BET 1747 AND 1751 in Caroline Co., Virginia. She married James Lindsey ABT 1719 in Caroline, son of Caleb Lindsey and Clare. He was born ABT 1700 in Essex Co., Virginia, and died 1782 in Caroline Co., Virginia.

Researchers frequently try to link William to the family of William Daniel Sr. of Middlesex County, VA as his son William Jr. who married Mary Moseley, or to James Daniel of Essex, as a sibling or as his son William, but Y DNA testing had proved there was no paternal relationship between these three Daniel families. Sarah (Daughter of William Daniel and Unknown Williams) was married to james Lindsay by 16 February 1719, when William Daniel of Essex County, VA made a deed of gift for 116 acres in Essex County to "my Son in Law James Lindsay" . This land fell in Caroline County when it was created in 1728. Sarah is not named in the deed, but other records prove that her name was Sarah. This deed suggests that Sarah was born about 1700. Based on a transcript of a family bible, james Lindsay was born in 1700 and died 1782 in Caroline County, VA. This bible also names the children of James and Sarah Daniel Lindsay. Probate and deed records in Caroline County were burned during the Civil War, but James Lindsay appears numerous times in surviving court order books associated with the family of William Daniel of Essex and Caroline. Between 1719 and 1728, William Daniel and James Lindsay are associated several times in interactions in deed records. ...”
