John Fairbanks married Sarah on 16 Mar 1641 in Dedham, (then) Suffolk County, Massachusetts Bay Colony.[3]
He was received into the church at Dedham on the 4d 3m 1651. [4] John was mentioned in the will of his sister, Mary (Fairbanks) Smith, dated on 30 May 1684 in Dedham, Suffolk County, Mass. Bay Colony, and proved 3 July 1684.[5]
His wife Sarah died in Dedham on 26 Nov 1683. [6]He died there a year later on 13 November 1684 at age 66.[7][1]
In his will, dated 10 Nov 1684 at Dedham, proved 19 Feb 1684/5, John Faierbancks gave to his son John all his rights in Wrentham, and £10. He gave to his daughter Hannah ffaierbanks £60. He made a bequest to his granddaughter Mary Sawyer the sum of £15. He gave equally to son Joseph, his second son, and Benjamin his youngest son, all of his lands, houses and possessions not already disposed of, they to pay all debts and legacies. He named as executor his son Joseph, with overseers to be his well beloved friends Thomas Medcalfe and James Thorpe Sr. who were also witnesses to his will. [8]
