She married John Isham Farris (1779-1841) in 1804 in Knox County, Kentucky where they then made their home. They had 12 children: James, Cornelius Gatliff, Elizabeth, Jane, Minerva Esther "Hiley", Narcissa, Sarah Louise, Joseph Davis, Esom, Samantha Luen, Nancy, and Emily. She was a member of the Methodist Episcopal Church and a resident of Knox County at the time of her death.
