Abner (3) 15 Abner Whittier (3), (John 2, Thomas 1), was born at Haverhill, Mass., Sept. 2, 1695; died at Amesbury, 1756. He married first at Amesbury, Apr. 12, 1726, Jemima Davis, who was born at Amesbury, Jan. 25, 1705/6 and died there, May 6, 1753. He married second at Amesbury, Jan. 29, 1754, Sarah Foot, who was born at Amesbury, Aug. 29, 1727.

Sarah Foot was a daughter of Samuel Foot, who was born Mar. 3, 1691, and his wife, Dorothy Colby, who was born June 9, 1694. Samuel Foot was a son of John Foot, who was born July 9, 1660, and his wife, Bathsheba, who died Sept. 3, 1727. Dorothy Colby was a daughter of Thomas Colby, who was born about 1667, and his wife, Mary Rowel!, who was born Feb. 5, 1671/2. Sarah Foot married second (published at Amesbury, Nov. 22, 1760), Jonathan Kelly, who was a son of Jonathan Kelly and his wife, Hannah Blaisdell; he was born at Amesbury, Dec. 24, 1736.

94. Ill Jonathan5 [I John1, 3 John2 , 10 Jonathan3 , 37 Jonathan4], born December 24, 1736. Ent. int. of marriage with Sarah Whicher, widow, in Amesbury, November 22, 1760; widow Whicher's maiden name was Sarah Foot. He was one of twentyfour soldiers from the second military company of Amesbury who "went in the alarm when Fort William and Henry was taken."

He was “draughted" August 15, 1757. Jonathan Kelly, Jr., and Judith Eastman, of Hopkinton, N, H., were published in Amesbury, September 12, 1778. The date of the death of his first wife is not known. After his second marriage he lived for a time in Hopkinton. In 1796 he was in Rochester, Vt. This appears from a receipt given by him, in which that town is expressly mentioned as his place of residence. Date of receipt, June 20. 1796. Later he was in New Chester (now Hill), N. H. Perhaps be was with his son, Dr. (251 Timothy) Kelly, a practicing physician there.

Someone had fun merging GEDCOM into FS

Further research is required. While, it would seem that it is more likely that Sarah Foote married Abner Whittier b. 1734 versus his father Abner Whittier b. 1695, see Sources because she actually married the father Abner Whittier 1695

Further research is required. However, it is highly doubtful that Sarah Foote married Henry Trussel in 1766. She was still married to Jonathan Kelly and having children with him.

The death date of 1791 for Sarah Foote may also be incorrect as it seems that Jonathan Kelly married Judith Easman in 1778.
