Born Jan 8, 1699/1700, daughter of Thomas Grant, in Windsor Conn, married Joseph Gardiner Oct 1, 1729 in Groton Conn. Barbour vital records for Windsor, vol. 2 page 37. Joseph and Sarah (Grant) Gardiner had six children, but only Mary, John and William reached adulthood. Three died young: Joseph (22 May 1734 - 31 Aug 1735), Jonathan (Apr 1737 - Dec 1737), Sarah (1739).
