[From The Worcester Grays pages 156-157] Sarah's family was of the Scots colony which settled at Worcester in 1718. There is a tradition in the family that her courtship with husband Robert Gray began on the voyage to America. Robert is believed to be a descendant of John Gray of the colony that came to America from Londonderry in the north of Ireland arriving at Boston, MA Aug 4, 1718, and settling same year at Worcester, MA. Sarah's mother lived with her , and died at the age of ninety-nine. Robert and Sarah Gray were the parents of 10 children: Experience, Joseph, Robert, Molly, John2, John1, Sally, Moses Wiley, Samuel and Thomas.
