Sarah Penner Hager

Sarah Penner French was born c. 1766 in Maryland. Her parents are believed to be John and Susannah French, but this is not proven. She married Jacob Hager, son of Johann "Phillip" Hager. He was born c. 1760 in Augusta County, Virginia. Sarah was also known as "Sally."

It is possible (although unlikely) that Sally lived to be over 100 years old. Sources have her born in c.1766 and dying in or after 1870. More documents need to be found to confirm these dates.

• Adam Hager, born 1792 in Tazewell County, Virginia and died c.1850.
• Thurza Hager, b. Bef. 1793; m. FIELDING BURTON, April 11, 1811, Tazewell County, Virginia; b. Bef. 1791.
• Catherine "Caty" Hager, b. Abt. 1797, Tazewell County, Virginia; d. Aft. 1860, Boone County, (West) Virginia.
• Abraham Hager, b. Abt. 1800, Tazewell County, Virginia.
• Alexander Allen Hager, b. Abt. 1800, Tazewell County, Virginia; d. Abt. 1870, Mercer County, West Virginia.
• Esquire Jasper Hager, b. Abt. 1807, Tazewell County, Virginia; d. Bet. 1860 - 1870.
• Jeremiah Hager, born c.1810 in Tazewell County, Virginia and died 1830 in Tazewell County.
• Mary Polly Hager, b. Abt. 1811, Tazewell County, Virginia; d. Pike County, Kentucky.
• Sluss (?) Hager, b.1800 and died after 1860
