Biography

Sarah Weeks was born in the old brick house belonging to the Weeks family in Greenland, Rockingham County, New Hampshire Colony. She was baptised in 1727 in Greenland. [1] She was the daughter of Walter Weeks [2] and Comfort Weeks. [3]

Sarah Weeks was wed to Abner Haines on 27 July 1746 in Greenland, New Hampshire. [4] To this union were born:

Samuel Haines, 1747–1838;
Richard Haines, 1748–1798;
Mehitable Haines, 1750–;
Matthias Haines, 1750–1796;
Walter Weeks Haines, 1754–1808;
Hannah Haines, 1759–;
Stephen Haines, 1759–1807;
Josiah Haines, 1762–1826;
Sarah Shaw Haines, 1763–1831.
Sarah Weeks Haines, paralyzed for many years before her death, died at 68 years of age in 1795 in Canterbury, Merrimack County, New Hampshire. She was buried at Canterbury Village Cemetery. [5] [6]
