Sarah "Sallie" Bynum was born in 1813 in Edgefield County, SC to Asa Bynum & his wife, Rebecca Murphee. Sarah "Sallie's parents were part of the migration to Blount County, AL in 1818 where she & Hazael Holly grew up.
Sarah "Sallie" Bynum was the 1st Wife of Hazael Holly. They married 9/3/1833 at Blount County, AL.
Hazael Holly & Sarah "Sallie" Bynum were the parents of 3 children:
1. Ellender Kathrine (Holly) Nesmith (1835-1900).
2. Elijah Holly (1836-1864).
3. Asa Bynum Holly (1839-1864).
