Sarah Jones

Sarah married Joseph F. Jones 20 August 1835. Smith Co., Tennessee. She was born in 1815. She died 7th May 1877 in Jonesboro, Jackson Parish, La..Joseph died 10th Aug. 1890. They are both buried in the City Cemetery in Jonesboro La, having moved to Louisiana in 1851 and in 1857 they bought land where the town of Jonesboro now stands, named for his family.

Their issue: Martha Jones 1836; Pamela Jones 1837; Richard Henry Jones 1839; John Newton Jones 1841; William Layton Jones 1842; Tennessee Jones 1844; Columbus [Uncle Tobe] Jones 1846; Robert Henley Jones 1848; Louisa Jones 1852; and Sarah Jones 1853.
