About Sarah Jane Kifer
Daughter of John Henry and Margaret Murray, wife of John Kifer ...................... "Mrs. Sarah Jane Kifer, wife of John Kifer of Sligo, died at the home of her oldest daughter, Mrs. William Myers February 22, 1907 at he age of 63 years, 9 months and 10 days. Previous to her death she was in her usual health until just before her death.
She is survived by her husband and 7 children as follows: Mrs. William Myers and Mrs. John Murray, Sligo; L.A. Kifer, Piney; Mrs. Fred Louis, Allegheny; Mrs. Henry Blair, Lawsonham, O.E. Kifer, Jefferson County, and M.E. Kifer. Besides the above children Mrs. Kifer left 18 grandchildren.
At an early age she joined the Reformed Church of Mt. Zion of which she always remained a just and active member. Funeral services were conducted by Rev. Charles P. Kehl at the Reformed Church at Mt. Zion, interment following in the Mt. Zion Cemetery."
