Edward Brown’s wife Sarah Dix was born say 1653 probably at Ipswich, Essex Mass. Her parents were Ralph Dix and Esther [__?__]. She died at Lynn on 9 August 1726.

After Edward died on 26 April 1685, she married on 24 Nov 1685 at Lynn, Mass. to Thomas Laughton (b. abt 1642, England – d. 19 Dec 1713, Lynn, Mass.)

Sarah married 2nd on 24 November 1685 at Lynn to Thomas Laughton, Jr.; his third wife, she survived his death on 19 December 1713.
