Sarah Volinda" Averill (Samuel^, Samuel's John*. John^, William'S William*), b. Dec. 14, 1824, at Gowanda, X". Y. ; has lived at Buffalo and Utica, X”. Y., Sandusky, 0., Indianapolis. Ind., Larkfield, L. L, and X'ew York City. She is a woman of strong mind and will, and warm heart ; a devoted, affectionate, and sympathetic wife and mother; deeply religious, and inter- ested in speculative philosophy. In early life she was a soprano singer in church choirs, and a solo singer in the Hozart Club of Sandusky, O. She m. Feb. 2, 1846, at Buffalo, John Jehiel (137) Parsons (son of Aaron, 130 [Aaron, 111, Aaron, 102, Aaron, 93, Daniel, 45, Joseph, 23, Cornet Joseph, 1], of Niagara Falls, N. Y., and Emily Stowe of Middleton, Conn., his wife), b. May 21, 1827, at Wilson, N. Y. Mr. Parsons was graduated at De Vaux College, Niagara Falls, when very young; entered business, becoming a manufacturer of printed and blank books. He or- ganized and was many years Secretary and Treasurer of the New York Sanitary Supply Co. of New York City. He was a Brevet Lieutenant Colonel, Camp of Ins. Indian for Volunteers 1861 ; an Ancient Scottish Rite Mason, 32nd degree, and an Elder in the Presbyterian Church. (See the Parsons’ Memorial by Albert Parsons, in Cornet Joseph Parsons, by Henry M.
