Sarah Philipson

Sarah Philipson (Levine) was born in Minsk, Russia about 1880. She came to U.S. with her father and two sisters (Annie and Rebecca). Sarah and Rebecca married brothers (Wolf and Sam Philipson). Annie married a Mr. Marmelstein and lived in Watertown, NY. I believe she had two daughters. Rebecca had a daughter, Eva (Hoffke) and a son., though she died when he was born. Sarah raised Eva with her own children, and the little boy was given up for "adoption" to a family named Wyman, who lived in Rochester, NY.. He was named Bruce and was always aware of his birth origins. Sam tried desperately to get him back, but was unsuccessful .He later married someone else and had another daughter, Lila (Bernstein?) who lived in Utica, NY area.
