Some give her birth as 1711, 1712 or 1717. (Probably an issue of legibility) The 1718 may be a modernization of 1717 since the English custom of that era was a calendar year from May to April not Jan to Dec. Furthermore, sevens and ones often looked the same, as they used to put European "flags" on numeral one, making it appear as a seven, in the handwriting style of the times.
