About Sarah Ann Tomlin
According to Historical Catalogue of the Old South Church (1669-1882) (Third Church), on page 6 there is a membership list for 24 June 1670. Appearing on the list was "Sara Tomlins-Henchman."
On page 232, is the following: "Sarah Tomlins-Henchman. Sarah, daughter of Matthew Barnes, was married, 26 vDec. 1660, to John Tomlins. She afterward married, probably, William Henchman.”
Now, according to Waters Genealogical Gleanings, page 1029, there is an abstract of a will for Richard Tomlins of St. Peter's, Paul's Wharf, London, gentleman, 19 July 1637, proved 6 September 1637. It contained bequests to his brother William's children: William, Ralph, Joane Wilder the wife of Daniel Henshman, Margery, and John Tomlins (if living. Notice the Henchman/Henshman name.
