Sarah Van Bibber is the mother of Jessie (Van Bibber) Thrower (Mrs. James Knox Polk Thrower, Sr.).

Sarah Leak married Thomas H. Van Bibber on 30 Nov 1854 in Spalding, Georgia. Thomas was born in Georgia. His family moved to Shreveport, Caddo County, Louisiana where his father owned a hotel.
