Biography
Sarah Dabney was born to John and Anna (Harris) Dabney October 2, 1740, in Hanover County, Virginia.
She married Thomas Carr Waller ca 1759/60. He was born July 29, 1732 to John and Agnes (Carr) Waller of Topping Castle, Spotsylvania County, Virginia.
They had ten children:
- Mary, born February 26, 1761, married Joseph Woolfolk IV of Hanover County 1778, died January 10, 1822;
- Anna, born November 11, 1762, died August 5, 1834, married Joel Harris;
- Agnes, born November 17, 1764, died November 7, 1817;
- Sarah, born January 24, 1767, died March 22, 1829, married Joseph Spicer;
- Carr, born March 12, 1769, died May 7, 1843, married first to Elizabeth Martin, second to Susannah Edwards, moved to Henry County;
- Dabney, born February 20, 1772, died June 6, 1849, married Elizabeth Minor;
- Pomfrett Jr., born May 8, 1774, died April 29,1814, married Sarah Minor Woolfolk;
- Dorothy, born March 31,1777, died December 2, 1838, married Rev. E. T. Rowzie;
- John, born February 10, 1780, died September 10, 1824;
- Elizabeth, born March 2, 1783, died June 7, 1872, probably unmarried
