About Sarah Whitman
Biography
https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Ketcham-14
Sarah Ketcham was born about 1645 in Hashamommock which is now Southold, New York. She may have been born as early as 1639. She died sometime after 1704, but before 1742.
Sarah was married to Joseph Whitman about 1660. [1] Before the marriage, Elizabeth's stepfather, Henry Whitney, complained against Joseph Whitman for "stealing his dau.[ghter]'s affections contrary to her mother's mind." Joseph was able to produce witnesses who testified that it was her father's wish that they should marry. Edward Frencham deposed that "good Cechom coming to us when I was in Milford" gave his consent to the marriage. Samuel Blackman also appeared. The court asked for "Sara Cechum" to testify.[1]
