Sarah Levy Workum threw an information party on 7/5/1879 for her live descendants – all 58 of them – “take a glass of wine with her” - at her son’s home Levi J. Workum. She was born in Amsterdam in 1799 – immigrated to New York in 1819 and married Jacob L. Workum in 1822 and moved to New Orleans. She had two boys and four girls.
