About Sarah Yeakel

Sarah Wagner (Wagener) was born in Pennsylvania on Feb. 11, 1756, the eldest of four children of Christopher Wagener (1727-11/28/1810 and Susanna Heebner (10/1734-7/2/1817) Sarah's father, in 1737, had come to Pennsylvania with his widowed mother, Susanna Wagener on the ship St Andrew with the 6th migration of the Schwenkfelders. Sarah's mother had come to Pennsylvania in 1736 with the third migration with her parents David Heebner and Maria Kriebel. So Sarah was a first generation Pennsylvanian.

Sarah Wagner married Abraham Yeakel on Oct. 10, 1776. Like Sarah, both of Abraham's parents were Schwenkfelder immigrants.

Sarah and Abraham lived on their farm in Springfield Township where they raised their six children: - Isaac born 11/9/1777 - Samual, born 2/26/1779 - Jacob, born 7/29/1780 - Susannah, born 11/11/1782 - Maria, born 7/4/1784 - Christopher, born 5/21/1787
