Sarah Zumwalt

Sarah Zumwalt celebrated her 32nd birthday on October 9, 1835, while holding her newborn daughter, Christina Jane, in St. Charles, Missouri. Sadly, just two days later, Sarah passed away, leaving behind seven children. The Zumwalt family had already faced a tragedy earlier that year when Sarah's husband, William Zumwalt, passed away at the young age of 33 in June. Despite these heartbreaking losses, the family remained united, with different members taking turns to care for the children. Sarah and William's memory continued to inspire their loved ones and live on through the generations.
