  1. 76 Abraham 4 Merrill (Johnathan 3, Abraham 2) was born 29 May, 1707 in Newbury, Mass. He lived in Haverhill, Mass., and Plaistow and Derryfield (now Manchester), NH. Sergeant. About 1745 he settled at Merrill's Falls, or Merrill's Ferry, on the Merrimack, "just below the old granite bridge."
