About Seth Moulton, U.S. Congress
Seth Moulton is an American former Marine Corps officer and a Democratic member of the United States House of Representatives, representing Massachusetts's 6th congressional district.
After graduating from Harvard University in 2001 with a Bachelor of Science in physics, Moulton joined the United States Marine Corps. He served four tours in the Iraq War and then went on to earn his master's degrees in business and public administration in a dual program at Harvard University.
He entered politics in 2014, running for Massachusetts's 6th congressional district. He defeated incumbent Congressman John F. Tierney in the Democratic primary and then defeated former Republican State Senator Richard Tisei in the general election.

MOULTON, Seth, a Representative from Massachusetts; born in Salem, Essex County, Mass., October 24, 1978; graduated from Phillips Academy Andover, Andover, Mass., 1997; B.S., Harvard University, Cambridge, Mass., 2001; M.B.A., M.P.P., Harvard University, Cambridge, Mass., 2011; United States Marine Corps, 2002-2008; business manager; elected as a Democrat to the One Hundred Fourteenth and to the succeeding Congress (January 3, 2015-present).
