To the Sheriff of Our County of Bristol his Under-Sheriff or Deputy, Greeting:
We Command you to Attach the Goods or Estate of Henry Gidley of Dartmouth in ye County of Bristol Husbandman to the Value of Sixteen Pounds; and for want thereof to take the Body of the said Henry Gidley (if he may be found in your Precinct) and him safely keep, so that you have him before Our Justices of our Inferior Court of Common Pleas next, to be holden at Bristol, within and for Our Said County, at Bristol, on the Second Tuesday of April – next; Then and there in Our Said Court to answer unto John Akin Samuel Cornel[l] & Stephen West Jr & all of the Town of Dartmouth & County aforesaid Yeomen for a plea of debt for not paying to ye [pen?](suit,Latin) the just sum of Eight Pounds Current Money of ye
province of ye Massachusetts Bay [?] to ye debt by virtue of Bill in waiting under ye hand & seal of ye debt dated ye thirteenth Day of January 1728/9. [?] Court produced will appear [for?] non payment -----------------------------------------------------------------------
