In action at; Jonc-de-Mer Ridge, Vierstraat Ridge, St. Maurice River, East Poperinghe Line and Dickebusch Lake (Flanders, Belgium), Hindenburg Line. Honorable discharge March 31, 1919 In charge of a machine gun company during WW1, 108th Infantry.
David never fully recovered from being gassed in the Argonne Forest in World War I.
Ran the Springfield, MA branch of the family business.
