About Sgt. Ebenezer Parkman
Ebenezer Parkman Jr., son of Rev. Ebenezer Parkman and Mary Champney, was born Aug. 20, 1727 in Westborough, Massachusetts; he was a sergeant in Col. Jeduthan Baldwin's regiment of Engineers during the Revolutionary War. Diary entries for his war service mention troop movements and operations in Peekskill, Fishkill, and New Windsor, New York and Morristown, New Jersey. He was discharged May 15, 1781 at Fishkill. He was schoolmaster for the towns of New Braintree and Brookfield in Mass. He married with ELIZABETH HARRINGTON, dau. of Jonathan Harrington and Elizabeth Bigelow. She was born Apr. 14, 1726 in Watertown, Middlesex Co., Massachusetts. She died Dec. 17, 1810 in Hadley, Saratoga Co., New York.?
