Sheng Hsuan-huai, industrial promoter who developed the concept of company organization known as kuan-tu shang-pan [official supervision and merchant management].

盛宣懷（1844年11月4日－1916年4月27日），字杏蓀（杏生、荇生）、幼勗，號補樓愚齋、次沂、止叟等，出生於江蘇常州府武進縣龍溪，清末政治家，洋務運動的代表人物。北洋大學堂（今天津大學）和南洋公學（今西安交通大學、上海交通大學、國立交通大學）創始人，同時也是一位實業家和福利事業家。

盛家直到現代仍聲勢顯赫，如香港亞洲電視前執行董事盛品儒為盛宣懷直系後人，盛品儒堂兄、亞視電視主要投資者王徵（又名盛承宗）為其堂弟的曾孫。值得一提的是，盛宣懷也是臺灣政商界聞人辜振甫的姑父
