You know Dave, we lived right across the street from Emma and family and of course we saw a lot of each other but when we grew up , we all went our seprate ways and I only saw Grant about twice since than but had good memories of our childhood. I"m glad Jerri Ann got to have her brother there for those few months as she rarely got to see him, God knew what he was doing, wasn't that wonderful for the both of them? God watches ove rus and sometimes we don't understand why things happen like they do but God knows , always a lesson to be learned and than if we pay close attention and listen , we understand God's purpose for what is going on. Well , you take care. Love, Aunty DOLORIS (Shaw) From April Blakley Hello - I am not sure how I got on to this web-site but I am at work and was looking up info. on myfamily....I came across your posting and just thought that you might like to know what "Grant" (we only knew him as Sherman) was doing all those years....I am April Blakley his daughter. My Father met my mother while he was based out of Concord,California in the Navy. They were married for a little more than 30 years at the time of their divorce. I am the seventh of 10 children. There is ... Donna Ruth, Richard Eric, Matthew Dean (adopted), Brenda Dawn, Samuel Ryan, Benjamin Grant, April Janine, Joseph Kent, Russell Barr and Sharron Estelle...I also have a foster sister Beverlin Harvey who was a part of our family for years. My father had his own plumbing business whileI was growing up and was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints until his death this last March. He moved back to Salem when his diabetes and its effects became to much for him to cope with and he knew that his time was short. My father loved Salem and always told us stories of his childhood there, I believe that he felt most comfortable there and that is why he decided to go back "home".
