Shirley Yvonne Hollenback

Shirley grew up in Superior, MT. She took Saint Pats Nurses Training and became a Registered Nurse in 1951. This same year she married Richard Hollenback. They lived on the family ranch in Gold Creek until 1955 when they moved to Superior. They took over the management of Shirley's parents clothing store at that time, as her parents were retiring. In 1960, they purchased their present ranch at Tarkio, where they raised Hereford cattle, hay and grain. In 1962, they sold the store and built the Big Sky Motel in Superior. MT. They continued running both the ranch then raising Simmental cattle in the 70's and the motel until 1981, when they built a new home at the ranch and put managers in the motel.
