Obituary- "Shirley Sue Ash, 71, of Millbrook Road, Bridgeport, passed away peacefully on Sunday, February 25, 2007, in the United Hospital Center following an extended illness.

Mrs. Ash was born in Clarksburg on May 26, 1935, a daughter of the late Jennings S. and Mabel Mary Davis Frum.

She is survived by her second husband, Bernard Ash, whom she married November 18, 1998.

Also surviving are three sons, David Paul Ash and his wife Diana, Clarksburg, Joseph E. Helms, Bridgeport, and Charles Wayne Helms, Bridgeport; one daughter, Robin Denise Jones and her husband Richard, Wilmington, NC; four grandchildren, Brian Ash, Timothy Ash, Zachary Ryan Maditz and Zane Louis Maditz; eight great-grandchildren, Tiffanie Ash, Collin Ash, Taylor Ash, Bryton Ash, Damion Ash, Trenton Ash, Dravon Ash and Trinity Ash; and one sister, Barbara Jo Utt and her husband Charles, Sardis.

She was also preceded in death by one brother, Robert E. Frum.

Mrs. Ash was a member of the Word of Life Assembly of God Church. She was also a member of the Lucinda Rose Auxiliary No. 573 VFW. Shirley will be missed by all who loved her.

Family and friends may call at the Davis Funeral Home, One Olen Thomas Drive, Rt. 98, Clarksburg on Tuesday from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m., where funeral services will be held Wednesday, February 28 at 2:30 p.m. Reverend George Mesto will officiate. Interment will be in the Floral Hills Memorial Gardens."
