About Shmuel Issac Bernstein/ Berensztejn
Bernstein, Shmuel Isaac; 26: Born in Minsk in 1903. He studied at various yeshivas. He followed the Slobodka yeshiva when it moved Hebron and studied there for nearly 5 years. As late as the Thursday before the massacre, he completed a work regarding interpretations of the Gemara, ‘Bechorot’ (the oral law a part of the Jewish interpretations of the Torah). On Shabbat, he was murdered in Slonim’s house.
