Sidney J Charbonnet, Jr.

Sidney J. Charbonnet Jr., 89, of Slidell, passed away on Tuesday, July 15, 2008 in Slidell.

He was the beloved husband of the late Rita Petersen Charbonnet, father of Sidney J. Charbonnet III and his wife Helen S., Joanne C. Jones and her husband Davis A.; son of the late Sidney J. Sr. and Agnes Cacile. He was raised by his late aunt Mae and uncle Henry Barrios. He was the brother of Merhlee C. Smith, Clyde J. Barrios, Joyce B. Nacquin and the late Margie B. Leonard. He is also survived by two grandchildren, Jonathan and Christopher Jones.

Charbonnet was a native of Jesuit Bend, a former longtime resident of New Orleans and a resident of Slidell since 1979. He was a retired steamship clerk for New Orleans Clerks and Checkers and a parishioner of St. Margaret Mary Catholic Church. Sidney J. Charbonnet Jr.

Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the funeral services at 1 p.m. today at Honaker Funeral Home, 1751 Gause Blvd. W. (in Forest Lawn Cemetery. Interment will follow in Forest Lawn Cemetery. Visitation is 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.
