Sidney Lawrence Daigle, Sr. departed this life on Monday, August 31, 2009, in Phoenix, Arizona. Beloved husband of the late Evelyn Jane Argeanton Daigle. Father of Sidney L. Daigle, Jr., Kathleen A. Daigle, Janelle Wright and the late Linda Ann Pommer. Father-in-Law of Harvey G. Wright. Son of the late Annette Demonn and Edward Jules Daigle. Also, survived by his sister, Elmire Noonan, two brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews, three grandchildren and one great-grandson. Age 90 years. He was a native of New Orleans, LA and a resident of St. Bernard Parish for 48 years. He served honorably in the U.S. Army Veteran during World War II, participated in the Normandy Invasion and the Battle of the Bulge. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the visitation at St. Bernard Memorial Funeral Home; 701 W. Virtue Street, Chalmette, LA on Thursday, September 10, 2009 at 1:00 PM. A funeral service will begin in the funeral home Chapel at 1:30 PM followed by interment in St. Bernard Memorial Gardens.
