About Sigmund Rebenwurzel

He was Mayor of the Jewish town of Straznice from 1910 to 1918. Ref Hugo Gold. The Jews of Moravia.

He married Paula WINTER from Straznice in Holic then Upper Hungary today Slovakia. His son Hanus was the acting Chief Rabbi of Prague post war. His grandson Yehoshuah REZEK born in Haifa lives in Karmiel in Israel. His granddaughter Daniela Shani also lives in Israel. The family changed their name from REBENWURZEL in Israel.

Kultusvorsteher in 1909.

When he died three of his daughters emigrated to America and settled in Chicago. Charlotte married Otto FELSENBURG from a town close to Straznice and their two sons live in Chicago.Lilly and Hedy didn't marry and they are buried in the same grave in Chicago.
